The joint effort by Waverley Labs and the EPIC Center show positive results for developing  power flow fluctuation models to document criticality of every asset in a power system in terms of the mission function and capabilities along with the potential damage caused (as function of time, and disturbance events). This model can be used to analyze data from cyber physical systems in the energy grid to identify failures from either a cyber threat intrusion (i.e. failure of a protection system) or the failure of the system (i.e. failure of a fault).
