Waverley Labs began as a professional services and custom software development company providing consulting services. The principles of Waverley Labs developed a reputation as creative and innovative problem solvers by developing first-of-its-kind systems such as the first security information event management (SIEM) system, the first modern air traffic control system, the first document management system and so on. We were selected to develop solutions for complex cyber security related problems and have won several Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) research grants including Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), Air Force Research Labs (AFRL), and Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and Joint Battle Center (JBC).
We recruited highly rated security analysts and developed a team to build a software product that was scalable and extensible enough for managing large, complex enterprises. Our combined expertise with the density of data in network availability management, the criticality of real-time systems like air traffic control systems and related work with high speed, intelligent analysis of massive amounts of data enabled them to create the advanced attack sensing software solution that gained significant industry recognition and were subsequently acquired by Symantec in 2002.
Waverley Labs’ innovative research and development opportunities and professional services engagements have a recurring theme: Is it possible to improve the reliability of systems and the ease of use of complex systems that protect their assets?
Waverley Labs is now focused on software defined perimeters and digital risk management. We are applying our extensive background and deep expertise in automated attack sensing and warning services for continuous monitoring to develop a new breed of proactive, outcome-based, risk management solutions that will quantify cyber risk and help customers to manage the consequences from the cyber threat. Will you join us?
