Today Waverley Labs announced a new partnership with University of North Carolina Charlotte’s EPIC Center to perform joint research on protecting cyber physical systems (CPS) of the energy grid. This joint effort will help bridge the gap from traditional tactical-based cyber security methods (how best to guard against threats) to strategic cyber security based methods (identifying CPS losses that are unacceptable and must be secured) which have shown great promise as a more agile cyber defense method.
